Enrique Dussel Peters, coordinator of the Center for China-Mexico Studies (Cechimex) at the Faculty of Economics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), points out that Mexico must abandon the idea of ​​aligning itself exclusively with the US. "There are sectors in Mexico that insist that we are part of North America and should focus only on the United States, but that is unrealistic. We cannot turn a blind eye to China," he said.
